The San Juan County Land Bank requests proposals from farmers interested in a long-term agricultural lease of its Frazer Homestead Preserve on San Juan Island. This property includes about fifty-three acres of pasture land, a centrally located pond and two access points.  A good fence along the southern and western sides encloses a public walking trail.  The farm is located next to American Camp National Park, and allows scenic views across its pastures.  The Land Bank’s goals for the preserve include increasing the property’s agricultural productivity and infrastructure while maintaining its scenic qualities. Housing is not part of this lease.

Applications should include any monthly lease rate, any infrastructure improvements, long term goals, and a timeline. On-site interviews will be a part of the selection process. The applications will be evaluated by a committee of farmers and agricultural organization representatives. For an information packet, please contact Tim Clark ( or 468-2010) or Tanja Williamson ( or 378-4402). Written proposals will be due on December 13th at the Land Bank. Mail to 350 Court Street #6, Friday Harbor, WA 98250 or drop off at 328 Caines Street in Friday Harbor.
