Located between Mount Dallas and Cady Mountain on San Juan Island, Mount Grant Preserve protects and provides access to almost 250 acres of native forest and meadow. Visitors to the ridgetop summit are rewarded with sweeping vistas in all directions. A road leading to the summit is open daily for pedestrian and non-motorized use. Driving access to the summit will be open Sundays (Memorial Day through Labor Day), weather permitting, from 10am to 7pm, so everyone, regardless of physical ability, is able to enjoy the Preserve’s expansive views when they arrive at the top.
Summer 2018 Update: The Land Bank commission has approved a management plan for the property, which will go before the county council for approval with the 2019 budget.
