DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join other native plant lovers at the Salish Seeds Project nursery on San Juan Island every third Thursday of the month\, April – October.  Tasks vary by the season\, and can include weeding\, seeding\, thinning\, transplanting\, harvesting seed\, spreading woodchips\, pruning\, and watering.  Tools are provided\, but please bring gloves\, water\, and anything else you may need for the morning.  As an added bonus\, volunteers can take home any “orphan” plants on hand. \nThe Salish Seeds Project is a joint program of the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank and the San Juan Preservation Trust. DESCRIPTION:Practice your plein air painting at with Alchemy Art Center on Land Bank preserves across San Juan Island! \n\n\n\nThe Land Bank is excited to partner with Alchemy on this plein air painting series for a second season. It is an opportunity for participants to connect with nature and create artworks inspired by our Islands’ landscapes. Each session will focus on a different section of Land Bank preserves on San Juan Island. \nSome acrylics\, brushes\, and canvas boards available for artists to use; participants are encouraged to bring their own materials if they would like. \nRegistration: Please register with Alchemy Art Center via Eventbrite (click here to register).
