Join a late afternoon walk with partners WSU Extension Forestry, San Juan Islands Conservation District and the Conservation Land Bank at Mount Grant Preserve, to view rocky balds, savannah woodlands, and mixed forest habitats. We’ll discuss what these unique habitats are telling us about land use history, and what future management is needed to support these assemblages.

If you would like to learn more about the signatures historic land use has left behind on the San Juan Islands, come away with some management techniques you can implement on your own land, or just enjoy an educational walk at your local preserve, this event is for you.
