In February, San Juan County Council approved the long-term (20 year) agricultural lease with the San Juan Island Grange #966 for the Overmarsh Farm Commons (OFC) project at Beaverton Marsh Preserve, an creative collaboration between the Land Bank and the Grange.
Close to 40 acres off San Juan Island’s Roche Harbor Road is now available for the Grange to implement their dream of a cooperative space where growers and graziers can work together in promoting sustainable food systems that prioritize soil health, water conservation and regenerative 
farming methods. Leases available range from small and commercial sized garden plots to pastureland for grazing.
