So. Many. Weeds. At the Watmough Preserve Addition, Himalayan blackberries were cut down, mulched, and piled up to open up the historic orchard with help from the Islands Conservation Corps (ICC). At Beaverton Marsh Preserve, ICC joined staff for a two-day Scot’s broom eradication extravaganza, and Orcas staff have continued their management of large swaths of Himalayan blackberry on South Turtleback and an extensive English holly infestation at the new North Shore property.
