Idaho blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium idahoense): Not a grass at all but a member of the iris family, this clump-forming species has pretty purple star-like flowers in late spring. Great companion to yellow-eyed grass. Idaho blue-eyed grass prefers moist soil in spring but tolerates summer drought. Plant in full sun. Plants grow about 6 – 10 inches tall. Deer-resistant.
