Volunteer Event – Noxious Weed Work Party and Training

Help protect the natural resources of Mount Grant Preserve. The goal of this work party will be to begin control work as well as train volunteers to:

  • Identify priority noxious weeds
  • Learn how to safely handle toxic weeds
  • Develop strategies and prioritization for weed control

Our goal at the end is for you to feel comfortable doing weed control  on your property,  help advising friends and neighbors of its importance, and be checked out to do weed control along the developed areas of the Preserve.

Please have close-toed shoes (ankle support recommended), pants, long sleeve shirt, and gloves. Drinking water is recommended; snacks will be provided. RSVPs appreciated but not necessary.

This event is hosted in partnership with the San Juan Preservation Trust and the San Juan County Noxious Weed Program.
