Gravity finally caught up with this Doug fir snag along the road at Mount Grant Preserve, just before the Newt Pond Trailhead. Early this week, stewards noticed the tree had collapsed and was dangling above the road by a single root. They altered their work schedule to cut the root and release the tree before driving access opened today. Just one of the many tasks your conservation land bank staff engages in during an average work week. Thank you for keeping the trails – and roads – clear for public enjoyment!
